RAISING CATHOLIC KIDS
Renowned Catholic speaker John J. Findlater will be visiting Sts. Peter and Paul Church Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 7:00-9:00p.m. The topic for Mr. Findlater's presentation is "Getting a Grip on Kids Today: Raising Catholic Kids in a Crazy and Confusing World."
There will be a Thursday evening Mass at 5:30 in the Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Pizza and pop will be provided by the Sandusky Central Catholic Schools PTO after mass in the Gathering Space. Dr. Findlater will then speak at 7:00p.m.
Everyone is invited to join us for this special Catholic event for fellowship, food and information.
GREAT LAND USE DEBATE WINNERS! (AGAIN)
It had been 9 years since a team other than one from Sandusky Central Catholic School hoisted the Great Land Use Debate trophy. This year was no different. The Great Land Use Debate pits teams of area eighth graders to the test of coming up with legally, environmentally, and economically feasible ideas for land development in the area. Students benefit from learning about local laws, community regulations, financial issues and the municipal process.
The Great Land Use Debate teams were led by Mrs. Julia Brown and Mr. Dave McDowell. The Best Plan team of Taylor Crooks, Eric
Dudenhofer, Carlo Mormina, Liz DeLamatre, and Kayla Roesch won with their plan for the Sandusky Bay Aquarium. They will be presenting their plan to the Sandusky City Commission on Monday, January 25 at 5:00.
THE WIZARD OF OZ at SCCS!
The Wizard of Oz cast is set and rehearsals will be gearing up soon for the annual school musical. This year's show will once again be held at the State Theatre for a weekend engagment March 26 and 27. The Sandusky Central Catholic Musical is the only high school musical to be held in the prestigious State Theatre in downtown Sandusky. All levels of Panther students will be involved in the production which is being spearheaded by Mr. Brian Panetta.

FATHER & DAUGHTER NIGHT at SMCC BASKETBALL
On Saturday night, January 23 the SMCC Panthers will be taking on the Fremont St. Joe Streaks in "The Den." Saturday night will also be Father and Daughter. Elementary school age daughters wearing SCCS apparel will be admitted free with paid adult admission. Stop in to "The Den" to support the Panthers for an evening of family fun!
